World factions of LuK USA come together to share business ideas,

WOOSTER — Quality assurance managers and directors affiliated with LuK USA’s parent company spent a couple of days in town sharing their experiences, learning new processes and engaging in team- building activities.
The fifth annual Americas Quality Conference was July 13-14 at LuK USA. More than 35 people, representing Schaeffler Group facilities in Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Germany and the United States, attended the event.
Ed Rocha, director of quality for LuK USA in Wooster, said it was an honor to serve as host for the event. This was the first time the conference was held in Wooster.
“It’s a lot of work, but we got to show off our plant and brag about the things we do right,” Rocha said.
“Having the annual event here was interesting because the cultures are so different, the expectations are different and even the styles,” he added. “One will see the big picture, another will focus on the small details.
“The combination of both always gives us a good blend.”
Flavio Mateus of Brazil said the conference provides a good opportunity to share experiences among the regions and to know on a personal level the people working together.
